I've used Django twice for custom internal apps, one across a pretty large international organisation for a Sarbanes-Oxley compliance tool that I developed.

Also, my wife is a fashion forecaster, and her (fairly complex!) site is built in Django. Pre-launch though, so I'll update this later.

And as an experiment, I built mactactic.com in Django about 18 months ago.
