Shawn Rider

I'm a writer, artist and web developer currently working for PBS TeacherLine (www.pbs.org/teacherline), an online solution for educators' professional development. I am also co-creator of CRASHBOMB (www.crashbomb.com), a useful tool for gamers. I began working with Django in 2006.

I am a hybrid web developer, able to easily move between front-end and backend tasks. I have a background in teaching composition, digital art, new media design, animation and various other courses. I am still the owner of GamesFirst! (www.gamesfirst.com) and I have written about videogames for several different publications.

My personal work is often satirical and difficult. My professional work is always user-centric and pragmatic. I find that Django is very useful for both modes of production.
