Ed Menendez most recently was Director of Development at Fanball.com. At Fanball, Ed managed the day to day operations of a server infrastructure optimized to run Fanball's peak traffic during the NFL football season. This traffic pushed Fanball into the top 1000 sites ranked by Alexa. Additionally, he architected and managed the development of high performance fantasy sports sites for AOL, eBay, The Onion, HGTV, PGA Tour and NASCAR as well as Fanball's own suite of games.

Ed is co-founder and Chief Engineer of Digital Haiku, overseeing all technology and engineering operations. Ed co-founded Digital Haiku after leaving Z.com, where as Chief Engineer he successfully helped establish Z.com's technical infrastructure. He led creation of the engineering team while architecting and deploying the production web-farm, high performance mail list server and ad server. In addition, he played a key roll in engineering the production of Z.com's live web-cast, multi-camera event, using patent pending technology developed at Z. Prior to Z.com, Ed was a Senior Management Consultant at Havas Interactive. There he developed extranet and intranet systems, including an Internet-based promotion compliance system for nationwide field sales. Ed was also key in laying the early foundation for Fanball.com and invented a method for real-time stats delivery that revolutionized real-time stats in the fantasy business. He also led work with Paramount Pictures developing several yield management projects for film release planning, media advertising and sales distribution. Before Paramount Pictures, Ed was head of Systems Design at Informasys Corporation where he created an object-oriented methodology, which is still used to quickly create low-cost client/server systems.

Ed is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Interactive Group and has published technical articles in the field of internet technology. Ed's hobbies include flying, photography, new technologies, writing, travel, history and philosophy.
